Things all well here, settling in nicly in my new job and starting to get some more development done. Retrovirus is finished again, now with 50 levels multiple characters and pallets and a really nice intro im proud of. I will get a rom up here when i get the new graphics in. I have farmed out the graphics to somone i know will do them justice, its not my normal course of action but i have lost interest in the game now and just want it done. Also you will notice there is no sound, i couldnt manage it. Moving onto new things, also here is a cow i drew. COW

life is like a simple game of chess,
and the pieces by colour defined,
the pieces are all green and red,
and you're red-green colour blind.

Friday feb 25th 2005

Yo , just a simple update of whats going on here. Retrovirus is complete funtionaly and is awaiting a little bit of a facelift and then i will release it. (somwhere) Also some other new projects, i believe i will be getting back into research rather than game development. There is after all only one of me and this makes it hard to produce somthing of competitive nature. (thou i still have a few ideas "DATABALL" is one of htem). Oh yeah the important bit. I have a new job starting monday for future platforms which will be big up fun no doubt. With some free head space i will also probably be able to get more work done on this site and all of the projects within.

brief overview of the last few months:

  1. New game ideas
  2. New book ideas
  3. New research ideas
  4. New job!

Check out the ideas section for more info on the ideas

big up, Thom

Have done a little work on flipside, the deadline for the competition is the 5th of december, i have no idea how i am going to get this done.

Wed Nov 3 16:41

So i am going to germany this saturday, will be fun, before i go i wanted to mention that i have been working on FlipSide, the newset of the new game projects and this project is now advancing. This is boon because it means it might actually get done in time for the deadline on the 5th. (programming comp).

I just bought an osciloscope and its huge, i will use it for leaning electronics. Which is nice.

hunt update - 14:52

Ive been watching out the window with some of my fellow employees, we have seen a quasi selebratie and had a word, no info there, and have spotted poliece in need, we let them in to use the toilet and gave a bunch of them water from our cooler. I am always willing to assist a newtral party. It looked for a while that there might be some unpleasnatness but the poliece used a smart tactic to pacify everyone, and difused people out into the city - saving a riot. respect.

tue sept 18 13:55 - hunt protest

Today i went to the protest outside the brighton centre here in brighton. I can say the mood was one of silent hostility, both sides quietly fronting each other out. Two lines of opinion on two sides of a two lane road. I spoke with some of the anti hunters, one of them seemed as opinionless as any twoyearold you might ask on the subect, the other i found out later was the head of the brighton RSPCA which would explain the hostility and contempt she displayed for those who took pleasure in the killing of anything living. The anti ban protesters seemed to be less angry, well you can understand, they just seemed a little confused that their freedoms were being taken away, but not angry. No. One person i spoke to was angry that the 'real' issues were not being discussed outside the conference (when has that ever been the case). Me, i am opinionless, it seemed the best option to stay unbattered by looming riot poliece and to give me the best edge in talking to both sides. Those i spoke to i took a photograph of and recorded their opinions, i shall upload them tomorow. I left to get lunch (i do work afterall and cant spent my whole day running around after a ficticous fox). on my return the few hundred ani ban protesters had become a few thousand, and the and hunt protesters had become conspicuous by their absence. I left for work.

fir 14th september 4004

Today am off to see my jo, so there will be no updates this week end and there will be little work done so dont expect anything. Next week i will be working on flipside and perhaps one or two of my new ideas (see ideas). Ive just reforatted the sidebar to the right there and i have changed the css for the subpages to make the links match their headders in colour, i think it gives a nice feel the whole place, makes it hand together better. So big up and later

Well here we are all again, another site with another structure. How long will it last? I wonder. I hope to put some real content up on here within the next two weeks. Whats here is really just a shell of a website, theres links to the old site under thomart which will eventually become the old arty site minus all the links with pictures and drawins and photos.

The new projects directory will hold all of my projects, mainly so i dont forget about them and let them rust somwhere on my messy floor.

The Ideas page will become an archive like the projects but will be designed to make it easy to migrate those ideas to the projects section. But as it stands it will be a dated list of thinks i think of as i think of them. Older thoughts will become archived. This makes it easyer for me to set the thoughts to paper (ish) and so i will be more likey to do it.

The links page is mostly a formality, perhaps i will put links there i dont wish to forget in the future, but as it stands its not all that essential. Just ettiquette.

here follows my faq

FAQ

Whats with the ultra simplistic site?

its accessable and clean, and easy to maintain, its also designed to make it easy for me to port to PHP eventually. You can read the site perfectly in lynx and i like that.

Who is this all for?

me, and anyone who is interested in the things i like doing, but mostly me.

That was a short FAQ

Yes it was. well done.
